Built for complex technical work. Led by someone who has delivered it.
Gryphon Engineering & Technology is a Houston-based engineering and technical operations consultancy supporting aerospace, defense, robotics, energy, medical device, industrial systems, and deep-tech teams.
Founded by Monikka M. Mann, Gryphon brings together engineering judgment, program discipline, systems thinking, and operational execution for teams that need more than advice. They need someone who can help turn technical complexity into clear priorities, executable plans, and measurable progress.
Founder-Led Engineering Execution
Gryphon Engineering & Technology is led by Monikka M. Mann, a technical operations and program leader with deep experience across aerospace, defense, robotics, medical devices, energy, and complex industrial systems.
Monikka brings a rare blend of engineering depth and execution discipline, with a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, PMP and Certified ScrumMaster credentials, and doctoral work in Systems & Engineering Management at Texas Tech University.
Her career spans high-stakes technical environments, including spacecraft systems, satellite and missile programs, robotics, autonomous systems, compliance-driven operations, and cross-functional engineering delivery. She has led complex programs from concept through integration, testing, governance, and execution — helping technical teams bring clarity, structure, and momentum to work that cannot afford to drift.
Beyond industry, Monikka has spent more than 20 years mentoring students through FIRST Robotics, supporting the next generation of engineers, builders, and technical leaders. She is also an accomplished trivia competitor, with national television appearances that reflect the same pattern-recognition, composure, and fast analytical thinking she brings to complex engineering and operational challenges.
At Gryphon, she brings all of that together: technical fluency, operational rigor, and the ability to turn ambiguity into disciplined execution.
Why Gryphon?
A gryphon is a mythic creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle.
For Gryphon Engineering & Technology, that image carries real meaning.
The lion represents strength, discipline, courage, and grounded execution. The eagle represents vision, intelligence, technical skill, and the ability to see the bigger system from above.
Together, the gryphon reflects the kind of work we do:
Strong enough to handle hard technical problems. Sharp enough to see the full system. Disciplined enough to help teams execute.
We chose the gryphon because engineering is rarely just one thing. Good technical work requires analysis, leadership, creativity, judgment, and follow-through. It requires both vision and structure.
That is the heart of Gryphon Engineering & Technology.
Technical Depth
We understand complex engineering environments because we have worked inside them. Gryphon brings technical fluency across aerospace, defense, robotics, energy, medical devices, industrial systems, and deep tech.
That depth allows us to translate ambiguity into structured work, ask better questions, and support teams building systems where performance, reliability, and risk matter.
Execution Discipline
Strong ideas only become valuable when they can be delivered. Gryphon helps technical teams move from intent to execution through disciplined planning, clear ownership, structured reviews, and practical program controls.
We bring order to complex work without slowing teams down.
Operational Clarity
Technical teams do their best work when priorities, decisions, risks, and responsibilities are visible. Gryphon helps organizations build the operating rhythm needed to align leadership, engineering, partners, and delivery teams.
The result is clearer execution, stronger accountability, and better decisions at the right level.
Let’s bring structure to the technical work.
Whether you need engineering support, technical program leadership, process discipline, or quality readiness, Gryphon can help turn complexity into executable work.
